The Andrea pattern consists of a Pantaloon, a Slip, a Dress and a Hat. The dress is made with very full elbow length sleeves. This fullness comes from deep un-pressed pleats and gathers. Matching piping is created and used to accentuate the dress sleeves and waistline. The bodice is lined and trimmed with dyed to match Venice lace. A template is used to shape the cut out Venice lace for the floral front. A special template is used to modify the dress skirt to accommodate the point of the bodice with its floral lace. The hat is made from a dyed to match doily or from a purchased crocheted hat.
